But seeing as it's Friday, I've decided to do a Free Fings Friday (Three Things Friday).
Aubrey can't quite get the "th" sound, so I'm using her impediment to my benefit today.
After Daniel and I canceled our cable plan a couple of months ago, we discovered this little gem on Netflix:
I'm talking staying-awake-way-past-our-bedtime-to-watch-one-more-episode addicted.
This showed up on our online financial planner three times in three weeks.
Um, what the ----?
I don't recall buying OR getting any flowers recently.
So I called Daniel at work (I never call him at work):
Me: Have you been buying someone flowers?!
Me: There's a reoccurring charge on our bank account from flower.com.
D: What are the amounts?
Me: $2.95, $7.95, $10.
D: Those are some pretty cheap flowers.
Me: (realizing the same thing) Hmm.
D: I'll do some research and see what I can find.
Less than two minutes later...call from Daniel:
D: The charges are from White Flower Cake Shoppe.
Me: One cupcake the first time, then a couple more, and then four for Aubrey's party...
Me: Sorry...one of those times was during "cupcake happy hour".
D: Cupcake happy hour?!
Me: I might have a problem...
D: (laughing) and you thought I was buying flowers for someone...!
Even though I'm typing this at my kitchen table in Cleveland, OH -- I was born and raised in the South so I have every right to say, "It's Fall, y'all!"
Ah, Fall is my FAVORITE.
And I know that Halloween is the new Christmas, but I like to skip right on past it and give poor, old, neglected Thanksgiving the love and attention it deserves.
White pumpkins might actually be one of my love languages.
I love them so.
Oh, and those things in between the pumpkins are acorns that Aubrey and Mina picked up in the yard.
Cute, chubby, capped acorns make me happy.
Especially from my two squirrely girls.
I just love this Season in life right now...
In fact, I think I'll celebrate tonight by watching some Friday Night Lights with my sweet husband who doesn't buy cheap flowers for someone else.
Might even buy a cupcake or two...
